Watermelon Blog and Wally Amos Connection [Ream more]

WhataboutWaterMelon.com was one of the first sites we noticed while putting the Montgomery Loves Watermelon tour together. Here is one interesting and condensed article from blogmaster Watermelon Guy and you can visit them for more.

Wally Amos is best known for his world famous line of “Famous Amos” cookies, but he’s also an outspoken lover of watermelon. He’s often seen wearing watermelon printed clothes and he’s approached the National Watermelon Promotion Board about helping to get the word out about the joys of watermelon. (He may even appear as a guest blogger here on What About Watermelon in the future!)

In addition to being a successful entrepreneur (and a full-time resident of Hawaii), Wally has found time to write 13 books. Many of them are inspirational self-help books, including one titled “Watermelon Magic: Seeds of Wisdom, Slices of Life.” The book uses watermelon as a metaphor for life.

According to the book’s page on Amazon.com, “Watermelons symbolize the slurpy happiness of life for Wally Amos. From his life experiences, Wally sees many parallels between humans and watermelons. Just as the vine connects watermelons and the umbilical cord connects mother and child, we are all connected by spirit.”
