
9th Annual Mayor’s Neighborhood Conference November 6, 2009
It GREAT NEWS for those interested in the vitality of Montgomery’s neighborhoods. The ninth annual Mayor’s Neighborhood Conference
is November 6, 2009 from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Capital City Club.
The conference, sponsored by the office of the mayor and BONDS
(Building Our Neighborhoods for Development and Success), will focus on
the accomplishments and challenges of Montgomery neighborhoods.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Weaving the Fabric of OurCommunity.”
The guest speaker is Mayor Todd Strange, Montgomery’s 47th Mayor.
Mayor Strange will sharethe “State ofthe City” and provide information on the city’s Organizational Structure.
The highlight of this year’s conference will be the program’s transition
and how the partnership will help further the capacity of the program;
thereby strengthening our
neighborhoods…”weaving the fabric of our community”!

It was part of a story about the Carver High school basketball players who were honored by Mayor Strange and Congressman Bright for not participating in a fight that made national headlines a while back. Click here to read that article
